How does IPL Skin Rejuvenation work?

The Syneron SR Applicator then provides targeted heating of the hemoglobin and melanin up to 0.8 mm in depth. The generated heat energy then destroys abnormal blood vessels causing the vascular lesion and disintegrates the melanin to significantly reduce the appearance of the pigmented lesion.

How to prepare for IPL Skin Rejuvenation treatments:

Great advice for preparing for a melanin lesion removal treatment! To ensure the best results, it's important avoid tanning lotions, tinted moisturizers, tanning beds, and prolonged sun exposure for at least two weeks prior to your appointment This will help the treatment effectively remove your melanin lesions. Check all medications and antibiotics including prescriptions eyedrops and medicated ointments for any photo sensitive advisory. Product containing Retinol can cause the skin to be more sun sensitive, and should be avoided 1 week before your IPL skin rejuvenation treatment.

Post Treatment Care for IPL SKin Rejuvenation

All your pigmented lesions will darken as the the procedure draws deeply embedded pigmented age spots, freckles, sun damaged skin to the surface. When treating the face you can expect to look a little more freckled for the 10 days post treatment. I promise you by 10 day the freckles, sunspots will naturally slough off the skin.

We ask clients not to use any face clothes or any exfoliating products or luffas for the 10 days. This allows the pigmented spots time to surface and sloughs off the skin on their own. It's important to avoid getting a fresh tan on your skin during the ten days post treatment. You can where foundation cover after the treatment.

SPF, Aquaphore healing ointment are a must if you would like to protect and hydrate your skin within the days. When treating the hands, arms, shoulders and neck and chest the pigmented lesions will take up to 2 weeks before the cellular turn over sloughs the pigments off the surface of the skin.

Your kin will feel warm and tingly post treatment for a couple hours. You can expect your skin to have visible signs of erythema (facial redness). We provide disposable ice packs for clients to dissipate the heat after leaving.
