How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?

  • Elos laser hair removal technology removes all shades of hair colour, including those that have long been considered difficult like white, gray, red and blonde, elos™ laser hair removal delivers exceptional results for patients with pale and light to dark and tanned skin.

  • Innovative technology ensures a faster and gentler treatment that minimizes discomfort, more so than other technologies available today.

  • It’s important to avoid waxing or plucking, so that you have hair follicles for the laser to target. Thirty minutes before the procedure, numbing cream may be applied, especially to sensitive areas.  Most common side effects include minor redness that vanishes quickly.

  • For ideal hair reduction effects, around six treatments are needed, but this varies depending on hair color, skin type, and the area being treated.

How to prepare for Laser tattoo removal treatments:

It's important avoid tanning lotions, tinted moisturizers, tanning beds, and prolonged sun exposure for at least two weeks prior to your appointment.  Check all medications and antibiotics including prescriptions eyedrops and medicated ointments for any photo sensitive advisory. Product containing Retinol can cause the skin to be more sun sensitive, and should be avoided 1 week before your laser hair removal treatment.

Shave three days before the treatment. The laser responds best when there is slight regrowth for the laser to follow down the shaft of the hair.

6-8 sessions, spaced 6-8 weeks apart for treatments on any body part below the neck. Full face and neck laser hair removal is space 4-6 weeks between sessions in order to achieve 80-90 % permanent hair reduction.
